As I start out on my first week of blogging, and in the spirit of true international collaboration, I must thank Canadian, Steve Matthews, the Vancouver Law Librarian, for publishing his article on RSS in law firms.
The opening prediction in my 2007 predictions article submitted to the UK’s SCL (see Blog entry of 1 December 2006) and my determination to blog once a day, or at least try to from January 1 next year, were greatly inspired by Steve’s thinking.
My opening paragraph reads:
“Blogs and RSS Feeds - The inexorable increase in broadband power and connectivity, and the development of new Web 2.0 services, will see more law firms and more individuals in the legal sector publishing Blogs and using RSS Feeds. Take a look at an inspiring Canadian law perspective given by Knowledge Services Director, Steve Matthews, on the "Top 10 Uses of RSS for Law Firms". RSS should provide law firms with an easy-to-adopt capability to trigger fresh innovation in their legal working practices.”
Thank you again Steve. I can already see that your Blog will be a regular stopping point for me on my journey.
