Not having submitted an article to the SCL (Society for Computers & Law) for a couple of years, I recently took up their editor's online offer to submit some predictions for IT and legal practice in 2007 for publication on their website with other experts’ predictions.

Taking some quality time to write my first business article since late 2005 also gave me the chance to surf around the web and gain some new learning and inspiration, enough in fact to start my very first Blog.  I very much hope that these predictions will serve the test of time, and also that I will have the opportunity, relevant knowledge and skill and, above all, make sufficient time to keep this Blog going.

You will find a PDF of my article attached to this message.  It is also available for download from Travers Associates along with other articles I have written.  The version as published by SCL is contained within various other contributors' predictions at Predictions 2007.  The subjects covered, in no particular order of priority or likelihood of occurrence, are:

Blogs and RSS Feeds

Microsoft Vista and Office 2007

Office Groove 2007

Digital signatures and other secure types of electronic signature

E-Conveyancing

Skype

Outsourcing

"White Circles and Magic Shoes?"

The Google YouTube and MySpace Generation

Law Firm Strategic Reviews and Alternative Business Structures

Hope you enjoy my first entry on this my first Blog.
